Art For All Terms + Conditions
General conditions
Fairfield Primary School will retain a commission of 30% of the sale price of all works/goods sold during, or as a result of, ART FOR ALL.
To receive payment for sold work/goods, all artists/suppliers must provide the school with Australian bank account details (BSB, Account Number and Account Name) for payment via Electronic Funds Transfer.
Payment of any sales will be made within 30 days of the last day of ART FOR ALL.
The ART FOR ALL Committee will decide and has final say on the location and placement of all items on display in the Gallery and Gallery Shop. Any changes are at the discretion of the ART FOR ALL Committee.
Artists/suppliers agree to allow Fairfield Primary School to release their name and social media handle/s to the public for sales and promotion.
Artists/suppliers agree and authorise Fairfield Primary School to use images of their works or goods to be posted on their social media channels and website for sales and promotion purposes.
Delivery: works/goods are to be delivered to Fairfield Primary School at the set time. Please refer to artforall.com.au for this year’s times. Works/goods cannot be accepted at any other time. All works/goods must be signed in by both the artist/supplier and the ART FOR ALL committee. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept delivery of works/goods via post or courier.
Collection: all unsold works/goods are to be collected at the set times ONLY. Fairfield Primary School will not be responsible for any uncollected works/goods still at the school once the set collection times close. All works/goods must be signed out by both the artist/supplier and the ART FOR ALL committee. Please refer to artforall.com.au for this year’s times.
The school will exercise all reasonable care, but will accept no responsibility, for any direct or indirect loss, theft or damage of works/goods that form part the gallery or gallery shop. The school has a centrally monitored alarm system.
The ART FOR ALL committee reserves the right not to exhibit any works/goods that it deems inappropriate.
It is the responsibility of the artist/supplier to ensure all works/goods that form part of the gallery and gallery shop meet all conditions of entry.
Privacy: on making an application to exhibit/sell works/goods at ART FOR ALL, the committee will collect artist/supplier personal information for the purpose of:
a) identifying you,b) communicating with you about ART FOR ALL, and
c)making payment to you for sold works/goods.
The ART FOR ALL committee will use and disclose personal information in accordance with the principles of the Fairfield Primary School Privacy Policy (DET Schools’ Privacy Policy) and the Art For All Privacy Policy. It is the responsibility of artists/suppliers to be familiar with these policies.
Gallery conditions
All works must have been created within the last two years and be the original work of the named artist.
Works submitted must not have been shown in ART FOR ALL in previous years.
All works must remain on display for the duration of ART FOR ALL.
Artists are required to submit their application by the Application Closing Date via our website or via the application form link emailed to you by the ART FOR ALL committee. Please refer to artforall.com.au for this year’s Application Closing Date.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Alterations to applications cannot be made after the Application Closing Date.
The ART FOR ALL committee reserves the right to close applications before the Application Closing Date if gallery capacity is reached before this date.
Applications must include the following details for each artwork submitted:
Title of work
Year completed
Art medium
Dimensions in centimetres
Price (including 30% commission)
At least one image of each work
The total number of entries for general exhibitors is limited to TWO hung works and THREE small 3-dimensional works.
Works offered for exhibition must have the artist’s name, title of work, medium and price marked clearly on a label affixed to the back of the work or where appropriate for 3-dimensional work.
The committee reserves the right to reject any work that is not framed professionally or in which the framing is fragile or not secured properly. Due care will be taken by the committee however framing is the responsibility of the artist, even after the work is sold. Hung artworks will not be accepted unless they are ready to hang with appropriate hooks and wire.
Wet paintings, unframed works on paper and unprotected water-soluble media such as watercolour, gouache or tempera will not be accepted for hanging. Unframed paintings on canvas will be accepted providing appropriate hooks and wire are attached.
Works will be displayed on movable partitions, walls of the school or freestanding easels. Display cases, tables and plinths will be available for 3-dimensional works. The school is unable to provide special lighting and will not provide electricity for any works.
All works must be available for sale, with the exception of work by junior artists who may submit pieces for exhibition only.
Junior exhibitors: students of Fairfield Primary School and local secondary schools are welcome to exhibit work. The same conditions apply. It is the school’s philosophy that junior artists are encouraged to submit their work ‘not for sale’.
Gallery shop conditions
All goods must be locally designed and, where reasonable, locally made.
All suppliers must apply online at www.artforall.com.au by the due date.
All approved suppliers will receive a unique supplier code and their own stocklist template.
All goods in the gallery shop must be labelled by the supplier with the unique supplier code and the sale price (which includes the 30% commission).
All goods supplied must be included on the stocklist.
All props provided with goods must be clearly labelled with the supplier’s details and listed on the stocklist.
